I have been a Trade Doubler affiliate for almost 2 years now and have always wonderd how commsions relate to cookies versus (unique)visitors.  I don't find the defintions on TradeDoubler website clear enough on this issue.

Consumers frenquently visit a merhcant site multiple times before making a purchase.  Cookies are a means of tracking visitors generated by a specific Publihser. 

My question is: how does TradDoubler determine which Publisher recieves the commision from a sale when the consumer has visited the Merchant via different Publishers within the cookie period? 

Is the uniqueness of a visitor determined by previous visits from your own site, or previous visits from other sites as well?

Is there a difference in the commision, or potential commision,  when a visit is unique rather than non-unique?
